The twenty-seventh symbol of the Amharic alphabet is called T’ÄYT and it sounds like a letter T only that it should be pronounced with an explosion, with high stress, in the same way as the ninth symbol is. You should listen carefully to the examples since there is no equivalent in the English language. In dictionaries appears written as t’ or sometimes as a t with a dot underneath.
