New York African Film Festival
Just a quick reminder of The New York African Film Festival. This event will take place in The Big Apple between April 7th and May 31th 2010 and besides watching amazing African films, you can also attend some other events like Performances, Art exhibitions and Panel Discussions.
Among the films you can watch is the first Kenyan science fiction short film, Pumzi. This film was directed by a woman, Wanuri Kahiu and tells the story of a devastated East Africa in the future. I would love to see this film!
While you are in the city, you can also attend the screening of the film Teza at the Lincoln Plaza Cinema or some of the interesting debates hosted by his director, Haile Gerima.
I hope some of you can travel to New York and enjoy good cinema!
