You probably already read about my “an Ethiopian doll a week” challenge, so I thought what was more adequate to give away to one of my readers than an Ethiopian angel doll!
So here she/he is, a simple handmade arched-shaped doll for you and your child to cherish. This particular one is made with blue calico cotton for the body, embroidered white cotton for the wings, black fleece for the hair and brown polyester mix for the face, hands and feet. The face is hand painted with permanent acrylic paint.
I changed the design a bit from the one I made first, adding little hands and making the body a little larger. Overall the doll measures about 11×7 inches and it comes in her own handmade muslin bag. If you want to have a chance to win it just leave a comment with your first name on it on this post and you will be automatically entered in the drawing. The email address you provide with your comment will be kept private. This give away will be limited to residents of the USA, Canada and Europe and once you provide me (again privately) your shipping address it will be sent to you by standard US mail shipping at no cost to you. You are responsible for any custom charges in your country. The package will be labeled as a “gift”. Be aware that there is always the chance the doll gets lost or stolen in the mail, specially outside the US.
The winner will be chosen randomly from the comments on this post using a free online software.
I also plan to sell this type of dolls and maybe some others on Etsy, I’m still working out the details.
I will announce the winner on Sunday March 13th 2011. You have one week to enter in this drawing!
Good luck!
