Hottest as in sweaty hot!
Yep, the day was a scorcher. We don’t have many hot days in Portland, specially by this time of the year, but I think the summer wanted to say goodbye with full force and chose the Ethiopian New Year to display all its power.
The Ethiopian party was a success, lots of families came with their kids to play, dance and eat. The Ethiopian community of Portland was very well prepared to entertain adults and little ones alike and we all had a great time.
My children surely had fun. And I had plenty of time to take a lot of pictures and videos of people dancing and sharing the good time.
There was a group of professional African drummers that played and danced so well that made everybody dance and clap at the rhythm of their music:

I’m glad we went to the party, it was a great experience for all of us and I hope we can be back next year.
