What do you want first? The good news or the less good news?
The good news, as you surely guessed from the title, is that we have the court date! The less good news is that it is for October 7th
So we have to spend the rest of the summer and part of fall waiting for the travel day, that we suppose will come in November. At least we will be all together by Christmas, , yeah!!
It’s not that I’m complaining, it’s only that I’m a little anxious and days go by veeeeery slowly. Oh well, there’s not much ahead! We will probably meet in Ethiopia with some of the people that follow this blog.
I finished with my vaccines, I only have to take the capsules for the typhoid fever, but my doctor told me to wait until a few days before travel.
Next week is Miguel and Dylan’s turn for the shots so we can have everything ready for the journey, anyway these vaccines last many years.
For now I will keep blogging, taking care of my garden and maybe a short vacation…
OK, patience…

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackCongratulations! I know it is too bad you didn’t beat the court closures, but still things are going very quickly for you. I would love to be in your shoes. I think airline ticket prices are better in the fall too - so that is one tiny good thing even though I am sure you would rather just have your children in your arms now. Congratulations again!
We are also waiting for a court date, and also adopting from the Toukoul orphange!….perhaps we may travel around the same time :o)
Hola Alicia,
soy argentina.

Alicia,
Congratulations to you and your family. I finally received immigration approval and my dossier is in the process of being certified. I am told it is still possible to receive a referral during the time the courts are closed, so I am praying that will happen. Maybe I will be traveling the same time as you. My hope is to have my little one with me by Christmas.

Congratulations!
Yes, you’re right about the referral, you can get one anytime since it doesn’t depend on the courts but on the orphanage.
Hope you can get one soon!
