Yes, school is back!
Big, big relief for me.
Just when we arrived at this point in the summer in which you don’t know what else to do to keep three children entertained.
Now it seems that the main entertainment for them is fighting all day. They are bored of the park, the TV, games, Legos, toys, everything seems old and uninteresting. Summer fun has worn out and they need something new to do, a new challenge.
Even when Dylan says that he hates school (mostly math, I think), I bet he is already tired of too much free time.
Last week we went to the meet and greet with the teacher at Dylan’s school, this year will be his last at the Elementary level. He is one of the cool guys that goes to 5th grade and already knows the ropes.
For Feromsa it will be his first school experience, he will go to a preschool near our house in three mornings per week. We also went to meet his teachers last week and he seemed to like the place. It will be a chance to socialize and learn more English, since we mostly speak Spanish at home. We’ll see how it goes.
Feven will stay with mommy for now, maybe I will take her to some play group since she is still a bit scared to socialize and is not ready to be at a day care environment yet, she has separation anxiety.
As for me… well, when I can I will take a break from being a mom

Where I live (Valencia, Spain), we speak two languages, but it does help very much to learn english, because both our languages are latin-rooted.
Enjoy your break when it comes… you deserve it!!
Alicia….
Sabah and I are in Beaverton now, so if you ever want to set up a playdate with Feven, let me know. It would have to be a weekend because I work outside of the home. You can bring your boys too and I’ll have my sister bring her boys. It would be fun to see the girls together again.
